I’m standing for the Green Party in Bloomsbury because I believe Camden Council must do more to ensure affordable, warm, safe housing for local renters, students and homeless residents alike.

If elected, I promise to be a councillor who works hard for everyone in Bloomsbury and fights for a Camden everyone can afford to live and thrive in.

As a resident of Bloomsbury, I deeply care about the wellbeing of my local community. You deserve local representatives who are local residents and true public servants who put your needs above all else, not party careerists serving their own interests.

As a student standing in Bloomsbury, a ward that’s home to numerous universities, I am particularly motivated to represent students’ interests and perspectives, which are often underrepresented. Students experience housing and other local challenges in unique ways, and their problems have consistently been ignored by the council. I want to change this because I value students' experiences, and because I believe that a Council which is inclusive of everyone who lives and works in the local community would make Camden Council better at meeting everyone's needs.

I am also committed to supporting and protecting local immigrant communities, especially at a time when attacks and hostility toward immigrants are on the rise. Ensuring that everyone in Camden feels safe, welcome, and heard is central to my desire to serve on the council. I am committed to advocating for full divestment of council funds from investments in fossil fuel companies, arms companies, and companies complicit in genocide in Gaza, focusing instead on investing in the local communities councillors are elected to serve and represent.

It would be an honour to be your councillor, and if elected, I would do everything in my power to ensure that Bloomsbury is a place you can afford to live and thrive in.
