Statement to voters
I am proud to be standing again in my home ward.

I have lived in the area almost all my life, and to represent Maer & Whitmore would be a great honour.
There are many challenges to our way of life in this area, and I believe I can best address them from within the Labour Party, the government of the day, using contacts within the party. After many years of Tory chaos, the Labour government is steadying the ship and striving to make people's lives better. But they know it's not one size that fits all. They need to hear what we have to say in Maer, Whitmore and Baldwins Gate. The other candidates (however well-meaning you may think they are) will be just voices in the wilderness, whereas I can reach out to those who are making decisions in our area.
Whether it's housing development, the environment, the state of the roads or local taxes I want to hear YOUR views, not impose mine, in the same way that our new MP Leigh Ingham is doing. So please, give this local candidate a chance so your voices can be heard.
