Mike Conroy's policies
Statement to voters
I would like to serve Catton Grove as it’s Councillor (City/County) by:
• Attend meetings to put forward your views and vote for resolutions
• Take local issues seriously and do my upmost to resolve
• I would look to provide the best services as possible whilst being as efficient as possible
• I will work hard to try and reduce the 900 million pounds debt which currently incurs 200 million pounds interest per year.Full statement
Just to put that in context it’s around 100, 000 households paying council tax to pay the interests, and when you factor in loan payments it’s probably nearly 50% of Norfolks households paying for the debt, which means around 50% of households are paying for 100% of the services ( This is only an estimate as I do not know what the payments are on the loan balance) - either way it’s an awful situation to be in
