Full statement
As someone who lives in the heart of the constituency, John knows local issues and puts them at the forfront of all he does, as such John is the perfect candidate to bring local, green issues to a national level.
The Green Party will be standing a full slate of candidates across England and Wales, and this means everyone across the country will have the chance to vote Green, sending the message to Westminster that the country wants to see hope instead of division, and practical solutions to the cost-of-living crisis. We need well insulated, affordable homes and social housing, protection and proper funding for our NHS, and action to clean up our toxic rivers.
Many people are simply angry at the lack of action on the environment and climate change over the past 14 years, and with Labour for rowing back on its promises too. We simply cannot afford to not take climate change seriously, if we don’t take all steps necessary, we will simply be loading even higher costs onto our children and grand-children.
