Lesley Scott-Boutell moved to Colchester as a child and has lived in Millers Lane, Stanway for nearly 20 years,with daughter Jessica and their two rescue dogs, Bob and Dylan.

She has previously represented Stanway Ward as a councillor from 2002 to 2015 and continues to champion Stanway. She is currently working with a team of volunteers to reopen the Stanway Youth Centre and also chairs The Little Hands Children Centre Locality Board. Lesley is fighting, alongside Jessica and Jon, the cuts proposed by Essex County Council. As a councillor, Lesley successfully sought funding for improvements to our highways infrastructure and street scene with bulbs and shrubs being planted and bins and benches installed. In addition, because of her love of dogs, she drove through Colchester Borough Council's Responsible Dog Owners Strategy and the Bark in the Park event, an fun education event for dogs and their owners held in the Lower Castle Park. She also instigated and continues to run, with Jessica, the Colchester Frock Swap, a free event designed to reuse and recycle clothes people no longer have a use for.

If elected, Lesley will continue working alongside Jessica and Jon to improve Stanway Ward for all of its residents.
