Statement to voters

Phil is currently working at a Norfolk prison, helping prisoners prepare for employment on their release. He is a volunteer project leader with Foodcycle Norwich and represents Norfolk County Council’s “Food Savvy” scheme at local events, giving advice on ways in which households can reduce their food waste. He is also co-founder of People’s Vote Norfolk.

Phil says “I am standing for election because I love Norwich and would be proud to represent the residents of Town Close ward, where I’ve lived for the last 25 years. If elected to the council, I would push for the climate emergency to be the number one priority in all decision-making. The council needs a more radical approach on this issue, one which would both contribute to stopping climate breakdown and improve the environment for the city’s residents. Norwich should be taking more of a lead and setting an example to other councils around the country."
