Statement to voters

James Moore has been a familiar face campaigning in Tilehurst and west Reading for the last twelve years, particularly since his election as a councillor for Tilehurst in 2022.

Full statement

He works in technology and IT, currently for a popular toy company; his priorities are for glass kerbside recycling and safer local roads. He has a strong record of action since his election, which you can see a map of here. James was previously the Chair of the Reading & Mid-Berkshire branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

James is strongly against the Labour administration's unilateral scrapping of the 30 free minutes at Dunstall Close and Recreation Road car parks, and encourages residents to sign our petition to restore it. The free 30 minutes was a Lib Dem victory back in 2012, and was scrapped by the Labour portfolio holder without any vote.
