Pauline Church's policies
Statement to voters
Hello, I am Pauline Church the Wiltshire councillor for the Wilton ward, which from May 2021 will include the town of Wilton and the villages of Quidhampton and Netherhampton.
Full statement
I also sit as an apolitical member of Wilton Town Council.
Since becoming elected in 2017 I have had the opportunity to lead the following portfolios at Wiltshire Council – during the Novichok crisis Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Salisbury Recovery, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, Education and Skills and I currently hold the post of Cabinet Member for Finance, Procurement and Commercial Investment, affectionately known as ‘Wiltshire’s Chancellor’! I am also the chair of Conservative Womens Organisation in Wiltshire which encourages more women and young people into political life.
I own and run a shop in Wilton (Paloma Lily) and have done so for the last 8 years allowing flexibility to also work as an elected member. Before this I was Vice President of Global Trade Operations at JPMorgan and have spent my corporate career in banking and finance. I have lived in the Salisbury area for over 45 years including Wilton, Great Wishford, Salisbury city centre, Harnham, Fovant, East Grimstead, Alderbury and Alvediston and attended Westwood St Thomas school. My partner, Richard, helps run the shop so I can be an active councillor and we have a daughter and an Irish terrier called Rupert. In my spare time I like to spend time with friends/family, travelling and listening to music.
