Statement to voters
I am 26 years old and currently work full time as a manager for a well known retailer. I volunteer with a local charity befriending children and young persons with complex needs.
For too long, this area of Renfrewshire has lacked a strong voice and has largely been an afterthought of the Council. Whether it's cuts to the opening hours at the Ralston Sports Centre, which our two Labour Councillors voted through despite the community's opposition, roads and pavements being allowed to deteriorate to the point of being unusable, and a complete failure to support small businesses and the local economy, time and time again we have been ignored and let down.
It's time for some fresh thinking, and for residents to have a Councillor who will stand up for them in the Council Chambers. I would work hard to give back to the community and make a real difference, promising to fight against any development plans on Honeybog Hill, cleaning up our streets, and ensuring Barshaw Park is given the flagship treatment it deserves.
Labour are in decline and cannot be trusted on local issues - only the Scottish Conservatives can stand up to the SNP and ensure we have a Council which is truly ambitious for Renfrewshire, not simply ambitious for independence at any price.
Over the coming months, I look forward to speaking to as many residents as possible to find out about your concerns, priorities, and any local issues you would like me to help address. So please, get in touch using the contact details on the webpage
