Recently FLOODS have disrupted lives in Great Glen ,I would encourage the Councils to dredge River Sence &River Welland ,they have promised money but a proper flood defence is needed. LOCAL PLAN is ill thought out and will destroy what remains of South Leicestershires Green belt &more importantly Farm land,vital for food security (roughly 40% Imported,DEFRA 2024). Social Democratic Party is opposed to ''Net Zero'' a disastrous Anti-Industry,Anti-Farming Zealotry, backed by all others Lib Dems,Labour,Conservative .Green parties.The reason has NOTHING to do with price of Oil Brent Crude cost $74-79 in 2010 & is similar in 2025 $74 per barrel. UK has highest energy prices in the world.25% of bills is subsidy for Wind or Solar.The Silver&silicon is recycled but Very expensive to do,If buried poison underwater courses. The area has struggled for proper infrastructure Wellington place &Tymecrosse estates Were built,with no Schools,Medical facilities,or shops. Crime has increased to 40.2 per thousand residents.In 238sq,Mile district (97,600 in April 2021) to nearer 102,000 now. POLICE would be encouraged to patrol the Streets,Not the Tweets ,and CCTV I would like A Non-Chinese ,UK firm to put CCTV in parts of Town centre. On a Large Scale Eventually SDP would Nationalise Energy ,Royal Mail ,Steel(for Defence electric arc wont process high grade Steel), Water ,not for directors or shareholders but Public benefit ,before they collapse. Remember it is Important to vote especially to send a message to Harborough district council ( Lib Lab Green coalition ) & Past Conservative administrations ,keep putting up COUNCIL TAX by 5% is unacceptable.As Services are curtailed&decline
