Alan has lived in Stroud District for more than 30 years, working as a management consultant and university teacher.
Full statement
In his spare time, he loves exploring the local countryside by foot and by bike and enjoys painting.
Thanks to having worked in local government early in his career, Alan understands how the democratic system works, which means knowing how to make things happen locally.
If elected, he will work to create safer cycle routes in Slad and Painswick Valleys, push to extend the natural flood management scheme initiated by local Greens, demand that responsibility for contact-tracing is given to community health experts, and work to support local businesses and services.
