Statement to voters
Andrew and his family have lived in Westleton for the past 14 years.
Full statement
Andrew has been a Public Affairs Consultant for most of his working life which has included spells living in New York, Brussels and London.
Since moving to Suffolk, where his father's side of his family originated, he has involved himself in local community initiatives including helping draft Westleton's Parish Plan and being a long-standing member of the community speed watch team. Andrew was a leading member of the Lib Dem group submitting an in depth submission to the last consultation on the Sizewell C.
His day job involves working with politicians at the local, National and European level and so he is experienced in the business of working across party lines in the interest of appropriate, proportionate and good decision making.
Andrew became actively involved in party politics after moving to Suffolk. He joined the Liberal Democrats because he was drawn to their open and tolerant approach to society and international relations; their fair and sensible approach to the financing of essential services and their commitment to community and the environment. If elected, Andrew would bring all of these principles to representing the residents of the ward.
