Statement to voters
I am a former RAF Navigator and a retired University Lecturer and first moved to Southwell in the early 1970s, living here for 20 years and returning five years ago.
Currently a Town Councillor, I have a long record of service in local politics, including a term as a District Councillor for Southwell. As a former Chairman of the Town Council, I was actively involved in the purchase the football ground at Brinkley to expand Southwell’s sports facilities. More recently I have served as the Chairman of the Town Council’s Finance and Scrutiny Committee.
I am a long standing member of the Civic Society, a Patron of Southwell Choral Society, a member of the Italian twinning association, and a Friend of Southwell Cathedral.
