John lives on Heatherside with his long term partner and 2 daughters, who attend local schools.

After leaving school John enlisted in the Army and saw active service during the Falklands conflict in 1982. He has worked for BT as an engineer, and completed his BSc (Hons) degree at Kingston University. He now works in the public sector, allowing him to pursue his interest in environmental management and community relations. John is also a qualified bespoke cabinet maker/joiner.

John joined the Liberal Democrats as he believes that as a nation we should be investing in sustainable, renewable green energy, and to improve our green spaces for future generations.
