Statement to voters
I have lived in and around Worcester for the majority of my life. I am married and have two grown up children who attended Nunnery Wood High School and Sixth Form College.
Since graduating with an engineering degree I have been working in manufacturing and business management. Much of my work has focussed on creating and driving through changes within a continuous improvement culture where gritty determination needs to be balanced with a real understanding that it is the people and their needs and aspirations that really make an organisation strong.
As a child I grew up in Thatcher's Britain with all that it entailed: recession, privatisation, American cruise missiles at Greenham Common, riots in the inner cities, the miners' strike, Tiananmen Square, the poll tax and the subjugation of society in favour of the individual.
I will push to have a referendum on the finally negotiated Brexit deal. We should not give people like Gove, Boris and May a blank cheque. We will trust the British people to have the final say, to let the British people take back control and have the right to veto any deal that is not in the best interests of this county.
This statement was added by Louis Stephen, their team, or by a Democracy Club volunteer, based on information published by the candidate elsewhere.
