"Cllr Dr John Doddy represents the Stapleford and Broxtowe Central division, alongside Cllr John Longdon.
Full statement
Dr Doddy was first elected to Nottinghamshire County Council in March 2012 at a by-election in the Chilwell & Toton division. He is also a borough Councillor for the Bramcote ward.
Cllr Doddy is Chairman of the Health & Wellbeing Board, a committee which works with local health organisations alongside district and borough councils to find out what Nottinghamshire needs to improve in health and wellbeing and to develop a strategy and delivery plan to achieve this. He also sits on the Adult Social Care & Health Committee, giving him a wide range of experience in this field.
John divides his time between his Council responsibilities, and his job as a local GP, practicing at Hickings Lane Surgery in Stapleford. In addition to promoting a healthy lifestyle, he also practices long distance running, and has completed many marathons."
