Andy and his family moved to Farnham 41 years ago - a decision he still considers one of the best they ever made.

The town's strong community spirit and excellent schools shaped his children's lives, and he is proud that two of his grandchildren now attend Weydon School.

Grateful for all Farnham has given his family, Andy has dedicated much of his time to giving back. Since retiring from a career in IT, he has served on Farnham Town Council, Waverley Borough Council and Surrey County Council, contributing to key local work including the Farnham Neighbourhood Plan, major planning responsibilities and the Brightwells project. At Surrey, he has served as vice chair of a select committee and sits on the Farnham Board, where he challenges partners to find the best way forward for Farnham based projects.
Andy is also active in the South Farnham Residents Association and the Farnham Society, and values the opportunity his county role gives him to support local organisations and charities.

His priorities for the new Unitary Council are:
• Protecting Farnham's character while planning responsibly for the future
• Ensuring strong, community led decision making that puts residents first
