My children both attended Bliss Charity and then Campion School. I am active in our local community, for example as a trustee of Heyford Scout group and founder member of Heyfords' Wildlife Association. As a Labour and Co-operative party member I value highly the strong community spirit that exists within in our villages, and want to work closely with active village groups. I have worked within education and the NHS and participated in a local mental health support group. I am keen to focus on systems that support those who are most vulnerable, to ensure effective communication between services and to facilitate access for those in need. With fellow Labour Councillors I will work to improve children's services including SEND provision, and to ensure we have suitable facilities and services in our rural communities.
