Statement to voters
It has been a pleasure to represent you at Worcestershire County Council for the past four years.
Full statement
We are approaching the elections again this May and I am keen to let you know that I will be standing again in the Woodvale Division of Bromsgrove, which covers Dodford, Fairfield, Stoneybridge, Wildmore, Catshill, Marlbrook and Bournheath.
The last year has been a difficult and challenging year with Covid 19, it has found us all working in different ways and getting used to meeting online. It has helped me in some ways as I can attend more meetings of the parish council and resident’s associations.
We have seen more people walking in our beautiful Countryside and finding public footpaths that haven’t been used for a long time. I do hope many of you keep up with the walking and enjoying our green open spaces. I have enjoyed walking more with my dog, and so has he!
We are currently working on the BREP improvements (Bromsgrove Route Enhancement Programme) along the A38 from Lydiate Ash island to the M42 island. It has unfortunately caused some disruption to local resident’s, but the end result is in sight and we look forward to improved traffic flow. The last part of the improvements will see a smart traffic light system at the junction of Golden Cross Lane and Braces Lane.
I am really looking forward to getting back to meeting you all face to face and working in the community, building on our strong local assets. I am keen to arrange PACT meetings once we are able to, working with our local partners, parish councils and safer neighbourhood team.
As always please do feel free to contact me should you wish to discuss any issues.
