Statement to voters

I am a recently retired person living in the parish of Dereham where I have been a town Councillor between the years 2003-2019.

Full statement

I was elected on a Green Party mandate and have been a Green Party member since the early 1990’s.

I have lived in Norfolk since graduating from university and getting married in 1978. I have brought up a family who have been born and bred in the county. I have had careers in education, catering and horticulture. My areas of interest are eclectic with education and the sciences being fundamentals. I did an interdisciplinary science degree. The ethos being that solutions to problems need a holistic approach.

Whilst a town Councillor I was involved in bringing a green infrastructure plan to Dereham, which has now over the years developed into a magnificent open space for all to enjoy. The project took time and involved all councillors and other agents coming together as one.

I am mindful that councillors are elected to be servants of the electorate. I am committed to making a better and brighter future for Norfolk and its residents.
