I was born and bred in Fleetwood - where I still live today - and my track record as a campaigner and Labour activist is second to none.
Full statement
I have been proud to stand up and take on the Conservatives in Wyre and Lancashire and I am proud of what I have achieved, against the odds, in my community.
I have represented my community for over 20 years on Wyre Council and I also serve on Lancashire County Council, where I am Deputy Leader of the Labour Group, and Fleetwood Town Council.
As a working-class woman who has fought most of my life for my community - I believe I am the person we need to fight our corner. I have the passion, experience and dedication to fight for us all. I would be honoured to have your support to be our Labour candidate for Blackpool North & Fleetwood at the next general election.
