Full statement
I believe together we have had some great results. We didn’t win all, but have won our fair share of the battles In 2017 I was also elected to East Sussex County Council, an added bonus for residents as it allows me direct access to additional key decision makers.
My background is principally military; I was a career soldier and locally based businessman. I know this area extremely well and it is home to all my close family. In my spare time I am a musician and, with friends, have supported local charities through our music.
Since elected to Wealden I’ve had a place on a number of committees, including Audit, Finance and Governance, watching over the Budget. I am also the Armed Forces Champion for East Sussex, supporting our veterans and their families. With your support I can continue here, working hard for local residents and business.
The frustration with Westminster politics is understandable, but I believe the right team is now working for us. With your support I can continue here, working hard for local residents and business. Bob Bowdler
