Statement to voters
I am standing once more as your candidate for New Milton North, Milford and Hordle Division in the Hampshire County Council elections on Thursday 7th May 2026.

It has been a privilege to be your Hampshire county councillor for the past 8 years. My priorities, if re-elected, will be:
- to be visible, available and responsive when you need my advice or representation regarding any county council matter, as I have always been for 8 years
- to develop projects that improve outcomes for residents, such as I did with the New Milton Men's Shed and local Chat About friendship programme
- to work diligently with county staff and colleagues to resolve your local issues
- to speak up for my division in wider county council decision-making processes
- to vigorously oppose excessive Local Plan development proposals for this beautiful rural area
A Conservative administration at Hampshire County Council will:
- ensure you get the best value services for the council tax you pay
- ensure prudent and effective management of the council's finances given the increasingly challenging pressures on services
- ensure a smooth transition to your new unitary council, making sure important services continue for you and your family, maintaining quality and with the least disruption possible
- tell you the truth about what can and cannot be achieved given tight budgetary constraints
- be totally focused on local issues and the care of local residents
This election is not about national politics or personalities. It is all about making sure our area has steady, reliable local leadership and choosing a councillor who knows the area and cares about you and your family. I therefore ask you to support me with your vote once more on May 7th 2026.
