I'm Trish Marchant and I have lived in Gillingham for over 40 years. Growing up in Gillingham South ward, in Gillingham Road, and attending St Marys Primary School and Chatham Grammar. I am a chartered electrical engineer and I am currently working in healthcare estates engineering at Darent Valley Hospital as the senior technical manager. Previously I worked at the Medway Hospital as the energy and environment manager and kick started the move towards energy efficiency.

I am standing as a candidate for the Green Party, which I have been a member of for 30 years, in Gillingham South, because I love Gillingham. I want to put my skills as an engineer, knowledge as a public sector employee , and understanding of business, to good use as a councillor. As a Green Party member I am committed to improving the lives of the people of Gillingham, and protecting the wildlife and environment for future generations.
