Statement to voters

The United Kingdom Independence Party, founded in 1993, is the original Eurosceptic party for those who still wish to serve their local community, without the need to follow party policies set out in Westminster.

Full statement

This means myself and other party candidates, are free to represent you and what’s in the best interests of Clacton. Without having to protect or abide by Party policy. We been campaigning on "community life matters", this is a group that tries to promote the local community and improve it. This includes for example: The maintaining of roads and infrastructure. Especially the doctors' surgeries, minor injuries unit at Clacton. The road safety around our schools especially illegal parking and the need for lollypop personnel, to ensure crossing the roads is safe for our children. We have seen first hand many of the problems within our district. My wish is that I can make a difference, and have a big impact on the many issues facing Clacton. We enjoy all the great things this lovely town has to offer, such as the pier, the airshow, the gardens down the seafront, and the many communal greens we boast in Clacton. However there are various issues, the roads services, cuts such a toilet closures to name two, that threaten the beauty if our area. We will be working at gaining funding for all our children to be able to swim safely and have knowledge of all the dangers when at the beach. We run weekly community speed watches with several volunteers around Clacton and organise a regular community litter pick in multiple wards and along the seafront. So our beaches look beautiful and attractive to tourists, so they come back time and time again. We are putting up candidates to stand for UKIP because we passionately believe Clacton deserves better. That national policies belong in Westminster, that they have no place in individual wards or counties, because one shoe doesn’t fit all. Each ward or area is as unique and individual as a person.

For too long TDC has been stifled by cross-party squabbling, only voting along party lines, with one party closing ranks against others and vice versa; Being an Independent means very little is achieved as you often stand alone. Every action I undertake, will be in the best interest of Clacton and not because I have been told that I must vote that way. I'm not a career politician, every job that needs doing, will be undertaken by the best business for that job, not like now where a few select businesses get the job. It will be tendered correctly, not given to friends. If elected, my full attention will be on what matters to Clacton first and foremost.

One of the first things we intend to campaign for, will be the switching on of street lights. So that women can feel safer on Clacton’s streets, especially those who provide valuable services such as carers, nurses and shift workers. So that they can feel safe walking home. Among many other things, this includes... The state of our roads & pavements. Which I’ve now managed to do. I've been working with ECC to get roads fixed. The roads are mess and the councillors/Council at the moment are all talk. The roads need to be maintained properly and effectively

I want to keep our area free from dog fouling. Littering is a big issue on our wonderful open spaces. I will try stop the cowboy developers putting in plans to build houses, without the infrastructure of schools and GP services. Which are absolutely vital to provide for the ever growing population of Clacton. We have lots of antisocial behaviour which needs to be resolved. There are so many other problems in which we are facing in Clacton, especially the effects of COVID-19 as we come out of another lockdown with the trials and rebuilding of the local economy. A vote for us is a vote for a local person, who cares deeply about his community. UKIP will put this area first & foremost somebody who Is committed to making things better for every one Please vote for us, we hope to be the first name and the only name you pick on your Ballot Paper! Now that Independence of Tendring have United with the Labour Party are working closer with each other on local cuts.

This is what it is, cuts and more cuts and not improving our services, which is what they both keep saying.

I didn’t believe things could get worse - but they are.

We are expect massive cuts to social care budgets with in Tendring by County Councillors - who also sit on Tendring district Council as district councillors.

They have voted for increases in charges to independent care for disabled and elderly. Cuts to the disabled budget for families and children cuts to our local firefighters and police services.

Cuts to youth services. Cuts to children centres. Cuts to bus services. Cuts to public toilets. Cuts to library services. Cuts to street cleaning. Cuts to rubbish collections. Cuts to potholes, replacing road signs cutting back vegetation.

Town centre It is my personal view that the technological advancements on the internet will be the main driver of retail changes over the coming years. With so much available on line, the need to visit a shop to buy goods diminishes. There are some websites that will price match the same hotel rooms with different companies, and it will only be time until the main retailers develop similar systems that mean that your packet of pears, bottle of wine, or bag of potatoes is price matched to other retailers selling similar commodities, and then delivered directly to your door. you obviously need a distribution outlet geographically placed so that goods can be dispatched from a central outlet, to a distribution warehouse or outlet near to your home. so the load can be broken down, put in a smaller vehicle and then delivered to you. Obviously with economies of scale, the larger the retailer, the cheaper the price, as a corner shop may buy a couple of cases of soft drink, the multi national buys millions and so the cost per unit is alot cheaper for the multi national than for the small business. The initial model for Clacton is based on a boat dropping off goods at two Piers (one of which has been demolished) the goods being put on a horse and cart, and then deliveries made to the town center shops, using the delivery roads behind the shops, (one is still in existence and runs from behind Mcdonalds to the side of the Carlton Site) and then put on a train, or unloading goods from the train, deliveries to shops and put on the boat. Obviously over the last hundred years, lorries have replaced other forms of transport, and the large articulated lorries, find it very difficult to navigate town center roads, so everything has to go through the front door rather than delivered round the back, which in effect means many of our old shopping centers are no longer able to meet the demands of modern retailing, as large lorries struggle to turn in small roads, block roads, cause traffic jams, ect.. day Modern retailing is based on large out of town units, which allows companies to run large articulated lorries into purpose built unloading bays, the goods can either be then dispatched to the purchaser using smaller vans, placed on supermarket shelves for either direct sale to customers, or prepacked for online shopping sales. We are already starting to see out of town retail areas as Tescos, Asda, and Morrisons all have large supermarkets on retail parks, and I would expect to see the trend continue. As older generations die out, I expect to see the betting shop go the way of the old traditional pub, as a younger generation bets on line, and a significant reduction in banks as internet banking takes the place of a visit to the bank.. All of this means that technology is driving change and there is very little planers can do to alter existing layouts of towns developed for the needs of the last century. This is bad news for small town centres like Clacton This is the only way we will get primMark is out of town

Is is my plan for my area what’s your plan? I would like to see The majority of the money spent in Clacton-on-Sea. Will this happen probably not. What would you like it spent on. I would like to see the Old Victorian lights along the seafront restored. We need a carpark at the top of the BMX track behind Whitehall Academy and CCA. To help with parking problems down these two schools. The bmx track just off St John’s Road, I would like this to be turning into a BMX track so the kids have somewhere to go On their bikes. Bigger recycling Wheelie bins instead of the little toys box’s, the red and green ones. Re-Ferb or a good clean up of the Clacton leisure centre. Extra street cleaners road sweepers, grass cutters tree surgeons toilet cleaner etc. 7. a big clean up of our breach all year round not just the summer.

Why do they have that much of our money salted away? Why do we have to pay extra to have our garden waste taken away etc?

Ask yourself what are we get for the huge sums of money we pay in council tax each year. That is our money and needs spending on our town, do you get the feeling that we are being shafted ?.

Contact your local councillors and tell him what needs doing. https://tdcdemocracy.tendringdc.gov.uk/mgMemberIndex.aspx?bcr=1 Or you can Contact the Cabinet whose decision it is on what to spend it on. Hope this helps.

What was the point of spending £37 million on sea defences when the first thing people see when entering Clacton and Tendring is craters in the road? Wouldn't it be more prudent to encourage Essex County Council to repair the roads? This would enable visitors to enjoy the scenic views and the new beaches with the sound of waves lapping the beach with their children laughing and having a fantastic day. Instead, we can see children crying and bored seeing ramps and overalls in a repair centre with the deafening sound of air-powered tools as the punctures springs and suspensions of their vehicles are being repaired due to the damage received attempting to get to our advertised new beaches. The roads in and out of Clacton advertise our town more than the 37 million pound beach because they are the first thing you see, if you see potholes the size of bin lids continuously down the road you aren't going to risk £50 on tyres or £100 on shock absorbers to go and spend more money on car repairs to facilitate a day on the beach. Instead, potential visitors are going to get straight on the A12 join the A14 at Copdock and either end up in Felixstowe or Great Yarmouth. After all the money spent on diesel will be less than the cost of damage to their car caused by a day out. Clacton turning into a shit hole
