I’m Alyson Barnes and I am delighted to have been chosen to be the Labour Party candidate for Rossendale and Darwen in the general election on 12 December.

I have lived and worked in the Constituency for 30 years and care deeply about what happens here.
If you choose me at the next General Election I won't just turn up and be seen, I'll be an active, hard working constituency MP who always puts the needs of Rossendale & Darwen residents first. I will fight our corner and make sure that we get the resources our area needs and deserves. For far too long our communities have suffered at the hands of the Tories- now more than ever, things need to change.
