Chris lives within South Norfolk, in Denton near Harleston with his wife, Zoë, and three young children.

He is a South Norfolk councillor, for the Ditchingham & Earsham ward, so knows the area well and is familiar with local issues and concerns. He has been involved in local campaigns and representing his local community for over 20 years.

Chris serves as a primary school governor and is a trustee of a local homelessness charity, so he takes a special interest in education issues and is keenly aware of housing and homelessness problems.

Professionally, he is a Chartered Public Relations Practitioner specialising in community engagement. He has a Masters degree in business (MBA), runs his own business and is a member of the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce.

Chris will bring his experience and knowledge from business and voluntary work to campaign for better housing, more funding for our schools and colleges, improved transport links, support for local businesses and rural communities, and crucially action to tackle the climate emergency.

The environment is now his biggest concern, and he recently marched with his sons on the Norwich Climate Strike, recognising the urgent and huge challenge of our climate crisis. He also recently met with the Norfolk NFU representative to understand the challenges for our farming and agriculture sector, especially relating to Brexit.

Chris has always believed that our nation is stronger and more prosperous within Europe. He wants the next generation to have the opportunities that he had and to be able to live, travel, work, love and study without hindrance across the EU.

Chris and the Liberal Democrats want to build a country that is open, tolerant and united.
