Statement to voters
I am delighted and honoured to have been selected to stand at the UK General Election and to seek election from the people of Na h-Eileanan an Iar.
In my current role working for a Highlands and Islands MSP, I am aware of the big issues affecting the Western Isles, but I am equally aware of the day-to-day problems that people face.
I want to be an MP that works for everyone across the Western Isles and I want to share my positive vision with you.
This election is fundamentally about two things; protecting the United Kingdom and getting the best Brexit deal from the EU negotiations. The SNP want to wreck both and Labour under Jeremy Corbyn don't know what they want.
I will back our United Kingdom and fight for the best Brexit deal so that the lifeblood industries of the Western Isles benefit.
I will also support major infrastructural projects such as the subsea interconnector so that the incredible wind power potential of the Western Isles can be realised.
I will also fight to deliver 100% superfast broadband coverage to every home and business in the Western Isles by 2020. This is vital to grow and establish new businesses and support the local economy.
This is just a snapshot of what I offer to the Western Isles. If you like what you read and want a change of direction, then vote for me on June 8th.
