Statement to voters

At 23, I am the youngest Labour candidate, and if elected I want to amplify young people’s voices so that the council really feels relevant to them.

I recently graduated from SOAS, having studied East Asian History and Politics. Haringey Council’s budget has been cut by over 40 per cent since 2010 by the Tories and Liberal Democrats, meaning public services have been decimated. I passionately want to involve the community in key decisions affecting Crouch End and will campaign tirelessly against Tory enforced austerity. If elected, I’ll work to bring council services back in house, oppose the privatisation of public assets, work towards building more social and genuinely affordable housing, and improve air quality across the borough.
