Statement to voters

This coming May 3rd I will be standing as Independent councillor for the London Borough of Harrow in the local elections representing the Pinner Ward.

I am putting myself forward as an independent candidate; not aligned to a political party and without a political agenda. As a local councillor living in Pinner Ward if elected I would represent the local residents without needing to fulfil a national political agenda.

I am committed to Pinner; its local parks, schools and businesses. As an active campaigner for Pinner and founder of the Proud of Pinner Twitter and FaceBook sites, I want Pinner to continue to be a thriving community both to live and work in.

I am passionate in what you want for your community and from your local councillor. Please complete this survey and let me know what issues are important to you and how I can represent your needs best at the Council-wide level.

My priorities for Pinner:

Protecting much needed public services and improving facilities for the area.

Safer neighbourhoods, supporting our local Police and fighting for them to stay based in Pinner.

Protecting our green spaces and improving amenities within our parks.

Backing local schools and protecting children within the system in need of specialist support.

Better choice, better care and better access to health and services. Supporting the elderly through to the vulnerable.

Supporting local businesses, raising parking issues and keeping Pinner a vibrant destination for shoppers.
