Statement to voters
Sara Gezdari - was born in Albania, and raised in Italy where she spent her childhood and teenage years. She first nurtured her passion for politics as a student at university and developed it through the years. She is a member of the Italian Conservatives UK group in London. Her professional career has been focused in the hospitality and leisure market where she acted for almost 10 years as a sales manager in one of the major Italian hotel chains .
Regarding standing as a candidate in next year’s borough elections Sara says “with a drive for politics and my typical hands on approach I feel like standing as a councillor is the best way I have to participate in the community in which I live.
“It is now time to build on the excellent job that has been done since Richmond Borough Conservatives took control of the Council, especially in connection to environmental challenges. If elected I would like to focus my term on enhancing the village feel of the ward and continuing to protect our wonderful green spaces. I’ll also work to ensure that our local shops and businesses receive the support that they need.”
