Statement to voters
I'm standing for election in Ramsbottom because I believe in a brighter, better future for everyone in our area.
I was educated at Emmanuel Holcombe Primary School and Bacup & Rawtenstall Grammar School, before going on to set up a software development business locally. I now manage the product development team at a larger software company, and I've spoken at events across the country on topics like information security and educational reform.
As someone who grew up and still lives in Ramsbottom, I will work tirelessly for the community that has given me so much. My priorities are promoting a long-term solution for the Mondi Paper Mill site on Bridge Street, protecting our Green Belt from development, getting our crumbling potholed roads repaired, and tackling concerns about burglary and vehicle crime. I also want to focus on promoting a vibrant town centre, including securing a long stay car park, as well as securing a new, state of the art Pool and Leisure Centre in Ramsbottom.
I have a positive vision for our area, and if elected on 3rd May, I pledge to work hard with our current councillors to see this vision through.
