I love living in the city centre and I understand the challenges of city centre life. Being a local resident, I am deeply commited to our efforts to build a fairer, greener, better city centre.

As your voice in Manchester, I have demanded investment in city centre services like our new primary school. I have won new green spaces like our park at Mayfield and at Great Jackson Street near Castlefield. I have delivered climate action to reduce emissions and clean our air. I have supported efforts to tackle rough sleeping, campaigned for more affordable housing, and stood up for LGBT+ rights like my work on ending HIV transmissions and HIV stigma. In just 3 years, I have done this and helped solve issues for many local residents. We are making huge progress.

Teamwork is key, and, as a Labour Councillor, I work with our Labour Mayor Andy Burnham, our local Labour MP Lucy Powell, and my colleagues Joan and William on the issues that matter. This is especially important for our campaigning to end our cladding and fire safety defects scandal.
