Statement to voters
Candidate for Stray Ward, Harrogate, where I have lived for 22yrs with my husband and children, who attended local schools (Oatlands and St Aidan's). I am in-house legal counsel at York University, where I practise equality law, and a Trustee of Harrogate Homeless Project.
A founder member of the Women's Equality Party, I will make Harrogate the most equal and happiest town in the UK, promoting affordable childcare and family-friendly policies, together with valuing care in general as the need for social care especially increases.
I will never overlook what matters to people (so many of our roads are a disgrace and my motto is 'death to potholes!'). My legal career has trained me to be an ace problem-solver and those skills will always be readily available to my constituents.
