Statement to voters
Since choosing to move to Wickford, nearly 40 years ago, I, like others, have asked the question many times ‘Is Wickford a better or worse place now than it was?’
Having spent many years in industry and then building and running my own company, I have seen how Wickford compares to other places around the world.
So the real question for me was ‘Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country’ (JFK). In 2014 I decided to answer this by standing as a councillor for Wickford North. My objective was To help make Wickford the very best that it can possibly be.
My record of serving Wickford for the last 4 years as a councillor is well documented, with many issues and causes undertaken for Wickford Residents. It would therefore by my privilege and honour to serve Wickford for a further term should residents so wish.
My job is far from over as there is still work to be done to make ‘Wickford the very best that it can possibly be’.
I hope that the electorate will allow me to continue with this work by voting for me on May 3rd.
