Statement to voters
Richard has lived in Southampton for more than six years, and has a lifelong connection to the city as his parents grew up here and he made regular visits to his grandparents throughout his childhood.
Richard brings 20 years of experience in the voluntary sector having worked in research, and for European, national and local environmental non-governmental organisations. He has particular interests in climate change, the environment and economic policy, and continues to campaign for the UK's membership of the European Union.
He is also a keen believer in personal development and life long learning, which is reflected in his active membership of Hamwic Speakers, the Southampton branch of Toastmasters International.
