Statement to voters
I am a local resident in Pimlico and, like you, know what a great place this is to live and raise a family.
Full statement
My professional background is in policy development and tackling violence against women and girls. I’m the Head of Public Affairs and Policy for a national domestic abuse charity. This follows on from serving two terms as a Labour Councillor in West London, where I was the Scrutiny Chair for the Council’s policy on Violence Against Women and Girls and then Cabinet Member for Community Safety.
I care deeply about the issues affecting Vincent Square, particularly antisocial behaviour, drug dealing and challenges with housing repairs. It’s been great to speak to so many residents already and start getting issues reported and sorted.
My priorities will be to work with the Council to introduce measures to tackle antisocial behaviour and increase women’s safety, improve housing repair services in the area and stand up for private renters dealing with rogue landlords.
I’ll be a hard-working and accessible local Councillor for Vincent Square Ward. I’ll keep in touch with residents on the doorstep, through regular advice surgeries and at community events, taking up your concerns and getting things done.
