Statement to voters

I am a retired NHS Healthcare Scientist, working at the RD&E Hospital for over 20 years.

Full statement

With lifelong experience in community leadership roles, including as a school governor, I am committed to improving the quality of life for people in Exeter.
It has been deeply frustrating for residents that there has, in reality, been no-one representing Heavitree and Whipton on Devon County Council. Labour Councillor
Danny Barnes having missed 11 out of the 16 meetings he should have attended from 24th January 2024 to date.
Too much money has been wasted on road schemes in Exeter without proper public consultation. It was great that local campaigning got the Low Traffic Neighbourhood removed. However, we are still left with the cycle lane on Rifford Road that has created floating bus-stops which are a known hazard to the blind and partially sighted.” The Labour Highways Committee not only supported these schemes, but were spineless and did nothing to shout out for local residents. I will speak up—I will consult and I will put local residents at the heart of everything that I do.”
