Statement to voters
I lived in Crouch End for 15 years and after some time in Wales, I now live in Wood Green
I teach English at Tottenham College, and I love my work and my students. For many years I’ve seen successive governments sell our assets and our services, bring about serious inequality and relentlessly damage our environment. I joined Labour in 2015 because I felt I could make a difference.Haringey has suffered for too long under the policies of austerity, and I want to help change that. I want to ensure there is genuine community involvement. I want to bring services back in house, protect public land and assets and challenge this Tory government to give local authorities the powers and the funds necessary to bring the humanity back into our services.
