Statement to voters
Over the last four years I have worked to improve the standards of our roads, cut traffic speeds and get the county council to manage its land in a way with promotes biodiversity.
Full statement
I have introduced three 20mph speed limits and started the process for a fourth, installed eight "smiley face" speed signs and got some real progress on the maintenance of many roads.
I have also fought against North Herts Council's plans to allow building of more houses than are needed on green field sites.
If I am re-elected I want to overturn the Conservatives policy of making it harder and more expensive to introduce 20mph speed limits, reverse the £8 million cut in the road repair for minor roads and the county council to provide free school meals in the summer holidays if the government continues to refuse to do this.
