Statement to voters
I want Runnymede Council to build more affordable new homes, but also believes that the Green Belt should be protected. Virginia Water is a lovely part of Surrey, the Council need to be better at looking after it. More pot holes must be repaired and the streetlights switched back on. The Council could invest in infra-red movement sensitive lighting like they have in Sweden. I’m concerned about late night noise and wants Runnymede and the police do more on this front. If noise nuisance derives from domestic or commercial premises Runnymede Council’s Environmental Protection Officer should be enforcing the law.
