I was born and brought up in East Leeds, living and working in Seacroft for over 30 years.

I attended the former Parklands Girls’ High School and later worked at the school and at Leeds East Academy. I have been a governor at three local primary schools and involved with many local groups. In 2015 I was elected asa Labour councillor for the area, but resigned from the party, chiefly due to Labour cutting local dementia services - while spending millions on vanity projects - and being forced to vote “with the whip” and not in the interests of the people I had been elected to represent. If elected in May I will put people first, and the needs of the community at the centre of everything I do
