Statement to voters

Enfield has been my home for over 30 years.

Full statement

I am a proud British citizen, a husband, and a father of four children—all of whom were born and raised here. This community has given my family so much, and I feel a deep responsibility to give back.

My journey has not always been easy. Like many who come from abroad, I have experienced struggle, loss, and sacrifice. I live with the pain of being far from my parents, my brother, and my sister. That distance is something I carry every day, and it has shaped who I am—giving me a deeper understanding of hardship, resilience, and the importance of community support.

I studied at Middlesex University, earning a BSc (Hons) in IT and Business Studies, and later completed a Master’s degree in Leadership in the Community at London Metropolitan University. But my real education has come from life—listening to people, helping those in need, and working within our community.
For many years, I have been involved in charitable work, helping to provide food and support to people across Enfield and London who are struggling. I have met families who are doing their best but still finding it hard to get by. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to fairness, dignity, and compassion for everyone.

Coming from a Middle Eastern background, I was raised with values of kindness, generosity, and respect for others. I speak Arabic, Greek, and conversational Turkish, and I have always tried to bring people together, no matter their background. I truly believe that our diversity is our strength.

I am standing with the Green Party because I believe in fairness, equality, and protecting what matters most—our people, our environment, and our future. Green spaces are not just land; they are places where our children play, where families come together, and where our wellbeing is nurtured. I want to help build a healthier, more supportive, and more inclusive Enfield.

I am especially passionate about supporting young people in education, giving them hope, guidance, and opportunities to succeed—because every child deserves a better future.

I am not a career politician. I am a member of this community, just like you. I understand real-life challenges, and I will always listen, always care, and always work hard for you.

I stand before you with humility, honesty, and a genuine desire to serve.

Together, we can build a kinder, fairer, and greener Enfield for everyone.
