I am a retired BT Engineer and I have lived in Havering for 47 years.

I was born in Hackney but we moved to Dagenham where I attended both Primary & Secondary school.

I have been a School Governor at a wide variety of schools for over 30 years and I am currently Vice-Chair at Corbets Tey Special School in Upminster.
I served eight years as a Havering Councillor from 1998 to 2006 where I gained great knowledge of how Council’s work.

I am the Chair of the Ingrebourne Valley and Hornchurch Country Park Friends Group and a member of Havering Cyclists (London Cycling Campaign) with my preferred mode of transport being the bicycle.

If elected to serve as a Councillor again, my concentration would be on listening to residents’ concerns and being available at regular surgeries held within the ward at least fortnightly.

If not in Administration then I would hope to:

• Influence Havering Council to create meaningful Overview and Scrutiny Committees with a view to challenging the Administration which currently does not exist.
• Encourage more Community Groups to play a part in establishing facilities that benefit the Environment in respect to the Green Forum and continue to improve the Active Travel Strategy which has had very little input from the public thus far.
• Continue to fight for more appropriate funding for young people and adults who currently have little support from an inadequate budget.
