Statement to voters
Ian moved to Kingston 35 years ago, for a new job in central Kingston.
Full statement
He has lived locally in Coombe Hill for many years. Firstly on Kingston Hill, and more recently just off Kingston Hill in Crescent Road where he has been instrumental in opposing the road closure. Ian voted against the road closure from the start, and although he is entitled to a resident pass to drive through the barrier, he has always refused one on principle.
Ian likes to support local groups, and is a collector for the annual Poppy Appeal. He also supports Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness (KCAH) with their fundraising - including taking part in several sponsored sleep-outs.
Ian said: “I am lucky to live locally, and have got to know many local residents. I would love to continue, and with your support we can deal with those important local issues, such as potholes, roadworks, crime and keeping our streets clean, that LibDem-run Kingston Council is failing on.”
This statement was added by Ian George, their team, or by a Democracy Club volunteer, based on information published by the candidate elsewhere.
