Statement to voters
I am a Bishops Cleeve Parish Councillor.
I work alongside the local police and other agencies to reduce anti social behaviour in the community.
I also run and support activities in the village, including the Friday night boxing club where we try to provide an environment for young people who find it difficult to fit in to other groups within the Community.
I went to School in this village, and have seen it grow dramatically over the last few years. However, whilst I oppose any further development in Bishop's Cleeve, I have seen the sense of community that our new residents have brought with them.
Rather than losing our identity, there is a feeling of optimism in the village, and that should be encouraged.
As a Borough Councillor I will oppose any new development and fight to improve our infrastructure, including our roads, schools and community facilities.
I will also continue my work as a Parish Councillor.
This is only the start. Being a Borough Councillor will allow me a bigger voice, but without the guidance and support of the community It would be useless.
It would be my intention to hold weekly open meetings for residents so that I can be more effective on your behalf.
