Statement to voters
I am retired, a former teacher and computer programmer. I moved to Carshalton nearly 10 years ago to be nearer my son and family. Previously in Gloucester, I was a Labour and Cooperative Party City Councillor, school governor, and chair of the credit union. In Sutton, I am very active with Sutton Housing Partnership in voluntary roles as an SHP resident. I instigated the provision of a new bus shelter opposite Carshalton Station. I am a Quaker deeply committed to fairness for all, the environment, and long-term thinking. Other special concerns are poverty, education, youth, and mental health. I love music, art, travel, rocks, nature and meeting people.
