Statement to voters
I was previously a Councillor for Beddington North from 2002 to 2014, representing residents and I have been a leading voice in his opposition to the incinerator presenting a petition to the council and to the GLA, which at the time, was run by Boris Johnson.
I also campaigned against the Richmond Green development as I felt that it was outrageous that elderly people were forced to move. There is a lack of bungalows in the borough for elderly residents and there was a real community in this area which has been destroyed by the Liberal Democrats. Richmond Road shouldn’t be having huge vehicles accessing it for the building works. Trees have been taken down and resident views haven’t been taken into consideration.
I am passionate about saving St Helier at its present site as a carer and know that investment is needed and it needs people on the council to argue for the future of the acute services and ensuring they stay on the site.
