Statement to voters
I live in Belmont with my family. Both my daughters were born in St Helier Hospital and educated at Cheam High where I was an elected parent-governor. With two teenage grandsons, I am aware that we need to provide more facilities for young people in the area. I welcome the Labour government’s funding of more neighbourhood officers to focus on antisocial behaviour such as misuse of e-bikes and weed smoking in public areas. I am also keen to see the Council provide more social housing to address the increasing problem of homelessness in our Borough.
This statement was added by Gale Blears, their team, or by a Democracy Club volunteer, based on information published by the candidate elsewhere.
