Sam is a Liverpool Community Independent councillor for Garston ward alongside his colleague Lucy Williams.

Full statement

He previously represented Cressington ward for Labour. Sam no longer believes Labour represents its traditional values. Sam and Lucy defeated Labour who had been in power for almost twenty years.

Garston born and bred. He has lived in Speke, Springwood and Woolton too. Sam is the proud father of two children and works in adult social care. He also represents Liverpool on Merseyside’s Fire and Rescue Authority.

Sam stands for:

• Prrotection of our Green Spaces • Proection of the triple lock on pensions and raise to European levels. • Ceasefire in Gaza and a peace process • Build 100,000 council houses a year • End privatisation in the NHS • Wealth taxes to fund public services • Scrap the two-child benefit cap and cap bankers’ bonuses • For a comprehensive Green New Deal • Against the privatisation of schools, our NHS & denistry. • Anti-austerity • Nationalisation of energy and transport • For a secular state where Israeli & Palestinians live in peace with equal rights
